General rules of taking care of backdrops:
We recommend you to keep the backdrops upright in a cool, dry place with no direct sunlight on it, avoid rooms with high humidity level, keep away from heating devices. You can easily lean boards against a wall or each other using cardboard corner protectors.
You can use water during the shoot, but try to minimize it as much as possible, wood does not take long contact with most liquids well enough. Just be sure to wipe them up immediately when finished and dry thoroughly before returning to storage.
Do not use the backdrops as the cutting board to avoid scratches and do not place anything hot on the backdrop as this could affect the finish.
Even though our backdrops are sealed for stain prevention, try not to put fatty food directly on a surface. Also, stain prevention and paint are not safe for food, and food placed directly on the surface should be discarded.
Remove the post-shoot dirt immediately after finishing. Wash the backdrops with clean water using NO detergents. If the stain is still on, use a bit of dish detergent but please do not rub the surface too intensively as this may wear down the surface. Spills can be cleaned up with a damp, soft (lint-free) cloth. Do not allow the liquids used to dry out.
Textured backdrops can be cleaned with a bristle brush or the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. Do not scratch the surface by pressing too hard.
Allow the surface to dry out completely after you wash it, do not place it immediately side by side with the other backdrops
